Desk-Based Assessments are often required to identify whether a proposed development site has the potential to contain and/or affect sites of archaeological and heritage significance.

Environmental Impact Assessments
Developments in environmentally-sensitive locations require environmental impact assessments which frequently call for a section on archaeology and the historic environment. These are very detailed assessments which fully evaluate whether a proposed development site might include and/or affect sites of archaeological and heritage significance. They often require fieldwork, such as fieldwalking, geophysical survey and trial trenching.

Fieldwork Management
Many developments require a programme of archaeological fieldwork. Through a process of competitive tendering and liaison with the planning authority we ensure that the client is provided with the best and most cost-effective fieldwork option.
